Dressmaking Techniques Weekend Workshop

A fabulous one or two day workshop encompassing dressmaking technique sampling and then making a tunic dress on day two. Students will create a folder of dressmaking construction techniques, helpful for continued learning.

 

 

 

 

 

Day one Workshop covers the essential dressmaking techniques required when following dressmaking patterns. You’ll create a folder of dressmaking construction techniques in calico including a range of seams, darts and easing excess fabric, pleats, various zip inserts and pockets. You’ll leave with instructions and your folder for continued learning and sewing projects.
Beginners welcome. All materials are included. Sewing machines are provided, students are welcome to bring their own.

  Day Two using techniques from the previous day you’ll make a tunic dress with deep hip pockets, back concealed zip fastening or loop and button. Kimono style sleeve & drawstring waist. Sewing machines are provided, students are also welcome to bring their own. Some basic sewing experience required.
